About Lisa Paclet
Lisa grew up catching monster claws from under her bedroom door.
Cardboard claws that is. Just one of the many playful, imaginative games her proudly non conformist parents cooked up for her. Lisa traces her love of the bizarre and experimental approach to filmmaking back to her parents’ eccentricities. A passionate mix of French And Italian, Lisa dreamt of being a filmmaker since she was a little girl. At 11, while other kids were playing dress up and hide and seek, she created an entire character and story development deck in the hopes of showing it to Disney execs Micheal Einser & Jeffery Katzemberg.
After studying graphic design at the Instituto d’Arte in Florence Italy, then filmmaking and animation at Minneapolis College of Art and Design (U.S.A) and she completed an MFA in animation at Les Gobelins in Paris, France. Inspired by animation’s ability to push reality to the extreme, Lisa is most excited by scripts with the opportunity to create visual effects that stun and floor the viewer, flirting with experimental and conceptual limits.
There’s nothing dainty or demure about her fashion and beauty work. Rather she takes a bold, arresting approach for an almost science fiction result.
Blending a brilliant range of disciplines, from Live Action to 2D / 3D animation and video mapping, she has directed a multitude of commercials, fashion films, music videos and video installations, with clients ranging from Dior to Nowness. Next she’s set her sights on longer, narrative formats. Prepare to be amazed.
